I ordered and paid for a 320GB external drive, I received a 298GB (although the label on it still says 320GB). Big disappointment!

the shipping was ok, but the product is not ok. Every time I connect it to any PC the found new hardware wizard appears asking me for the driver. I have to unplug it and plug it again several times until it is finally installed correctly.
Try to contact toshiba support to see if there is a firmware update or something but they haven’t write me back, it’s been like 3 weeks now… very dissapointed with this..

Compre este disco duro hace unos dias.
Las unicas quejas que tengo son 2. El cable, que al igual que con los otros modelos, es muy corto.
Y el formato en el que viene. Viene en FAT32, por lo tanto, los archivos mayores a 4 GB no los copia directamente. Da un error. Para solucionar esto hay que formatear el disco en NFTS en vez de FAT32. Una vez hecho esto, funcionara de maravilla.
Altamente recomendado.
Por cierto. Comprenle estuche. El exterior del disco es de plastico, y se siente un poco debil.

Excellent product. Toshiba (name drop), in my opinion makes one of the better products on the market. I own a Toshiba (another drop) Laptop & bought this HDD because I trust not only the name, but the reliability that I always find in Toshiba (oops, must have a hole in my pocket).
This HDD from Toshiba (anyone got a needle and thread?) has fast communications and quick read/write capability.
I recommend this to anyone looking for a small, external and on-the-go HDD. Make sure you pick up a case for it as well.

the only thing not so satisfying is that it’s a little too expensive.. it would be more appropriate if it is 5 dollars cheaper
